My Peanut is a Peanut

Thanks to Auntie Tia!  :)   Here is your Ruthie fix from the Fall Festival at church and Trick or Treating tonight.

There wasn’t much for the wee ones to do at the Fall Festival at church but she did get on the car and didn’t freak out too much about it.

For actual Trick or Treating, we went to a coworker’s house for their party and went around their neighborhood with all the kids.  Ruthie loved it.  Though she couldn’t talk, she gave them each her classic smile to say “thanks.”

And so, I say thank you to Auntie who made such an appropriate costume possible.  She got so many comments and only one person thought she was a potatoe.

Play dates

We’ve had a few play dates with a local mom that I met via Mops a few weeks back.  Since our initial meeting, Meg and I have found that we have  a lot in common not to mention our two little ones which are almost exactly 1 month apart.  So here are a few pictures that I thought were cute of Ruthie and Samantha.

This one we call “Baptists”.  Learning at an early age that in order to meet, you have to have food.

Pumpkin Patch Pics and Others

This was taken this week before her friend Samantha came to visit.

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Clanton today.  We had a great time though she didn’t want to sit by herself for long.

We took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

All Fixed

I patched the hole earlier this week. Bought some acrylic caulk and found a nice piece of scrap at Home Depot for $0.51 so I could plug what the plumbers tore out beyond what had been cut. I “glued” the tar paper back with caulk. The final result.

No longer holier-than-thou

We undertook the daunting task of putting the siding back up this weekend. I got my friend Trey to help me get the 12′ sections cut down and put in. It took some hammering of the nails we couldn’t remove with the flat bar to get it in. A little caulk and some paint later and we’re done! Here’s a shot before we painted.

We have siding!

As always, here’s your Ruthie fix
